Sensei Vernon

 

Hi my name is Sensei Vernon Jenkins, I have been practicing martial arts for 35 years. I hold the rank of 5th degree blackbelt in Goju and Shotokan karate. I also hold the rank of grandmaster, within my own system of martial arts I created called Animal Power martial sciences. In my pursue to further my knowledge of martial arts, I was very fortunate to meet my instructors( D.J Green, Malcolm Livingston and Carl T.Smith, Joseph Chueng.)

Malcolm told me that we are only scratching the surface as kicking and punching is like the peel of a grapefruit. Though useful, the meat of the art is the the actual flesh of the grapefruit and that aspect is holistic medicine.

So, I began my journey to learn intregrative medicine. Currently I have been practicing qigong and Tai Chi Chuan for 20 years beginning my studies under master C.K Chu, and then Professor Livingston and then Grandmaster Joseph Cheung.

I have been a licensed massage therapist for 10 years in the state of New York. I am currently pursuing my masters degree in acupuncture. This is why we are called progressive chikung. We are constantly learning and updating our understanding of healing the human body. We also strive to maintain a solid reverence and dedication to the classics and tradition of martial arts and Massage Therapy.

My name is Sensei Vernon jenkins, come learn Qigong and so much more while strengthen your mind and body from the inside out with progressive chikung.

 

Sensei Jaja

Jaja is a trained and experienced Licensed Massage Therapist and Shiatsu practitioner who offers you the best of Western and Eastern massage modalities. He integrates western clinical techniques and assessment such as Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports, and Hot Stones and Heat and Cold applications, Swedish with eastern medical massage techniques such as Thai Massage, TCM Diagnosis and Ohashiatsu. 

His years of experience led him to focus primarily on Postural Balance through the use of the modalities already mentioned.

Jaja incorporates suggestions of restorative exercises and readings of current Health Strategies for his clients to study.
